Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80’s movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80’s movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life.

From the beat of the silent thinker

So here we are... whether you be a friend, a fellow blogger or complete stranger, for whatever reason, the world has brought you here, the fantasist world of a seventeen year old girl, naive to the world and all its wonders. :)

Before all the editing, and before the miraculous coincidence that a certain few clicks of a mouse had brought you here, my journey here was a long ruminative one. For years, my subconscious mind has battled with the thought provoking process of “finding myself” if you will… yeah I know what you’re thinking, teenage girl unsure of who she is, big surprise there! Right? Well it wasn’t exactly that I didn’t know who I was, but more so I was starting to realise… constantly learning more about myself and how I viewed the world. And really, when it comes to it, I’m such a thinker, a dreamer. My mind is an explosive lit by the flame of curiosity, so what better way to attain sense of my thoughts then to write them town, and share them with you?

Here you will find the whacky antics of my dorky self, to the heart spilling discoveries of life. Whether it be interests, dreams, complaints, or just some ignorant philosophical stuff that makes me feel smart, you will find it here ;)
